It charts the fallout when a nuclear threat forces six people into a malfunctioning underground bunker. Tensions soon rise as they fight to stay alive. With oxygen and the trust in each other quickly running out, they learn that a more sinister plan is afoot

Monika tries to revive the close relationship with her childhood friend Irene. A day-trip to an old German bunker reveals that the offenses of the past have not faded, and that the struggle for power between friends is not something of the past.

Ace Anderson and Dick Kowalski are two semi-competent cops in San Francisco during the late 1970s. They show more attention towards appearing cool and disco dancing, but finish the cases by the end of the day. They are assisted by their disgruntled police chief Captain Dobbs, plucky reporter Miss Lee, and fellow disco lover Boogaloo.
